Volunteer

If you're interested in attending GDC China in exchange for volunteering approximately 20 hours of work with a fantastic group of people, then apply for
the GDC China Volunteer program!

GDC China 2011 runs from Saturday morning, November 12 through Monday evening, November 14. Volunteers have pre-conference assignments and a required orientation on Thursday and Friday, November 10 and 11. If you are accepted into the program, you are needed from the start of your Thursday assignments through the end of the conference on the evening of Monday,
November 14, so please plan accordingly.

What kind of work does the job involve?

Challenging tasks (some might require advanced degrees) such as:

• Attendee Registration
• Guarding doors, checking badges
• Monitoring conference sessions
• Assisting speakers in their sessions
• Checking badges during meals and special events
• Stuffing/Assembling conference bags
• Answer questions from attendees
• Data entry... And much more!

You will still be responsible for:

• Travel expenses to and from the conference
• Hotel or housing expenses
• Food expenses except Lunch when on-duty
